HOW TO PLAY VIDEO POKER LIVE

For our newer players, the goal is essentially to arrange the most valuable poker hand of 5 cards. Everything is generated by a computer and there are three phases of play:

  • Round Start – Play begins with a 15-second betting period where you choose the ruleset you want to use, the number of hands you want to bet on and the bet per hand. There are up to 100 hands to bet on and 5 rulesets including Jacks or Better, Tens or Better, Deuces Wild, Bonus Poker, and Double Double Bonus. Each hand is treated separately and draws from its own 52-card deck.
  • Swapping – Once you place a bet the dealer will deal the initial 5 cards in front of them. You can use just this hand or up to 100 like we mentioned. Then, you can click on a card to hold it or swap it out for a new one. If you do not select which cards you want to hold the game will do so automatically following optimal strategy.
  • End of the Round – Any cards you chose to hold are your final combination. If you have a winning poker combination you will receive an appropriate payout from your selected paytable. Each ruleset scores and values combinations differently. On average, a pair of jacks or better usually gets you a prize.
