HOW TO PLAY VIKING RUNECRAFT 100 SLOTS
When first launching the game, you’ll immediately notice that it’s not your typical online slot machine. It doesn’t feature classic reels, rows, and paylines. Instead, we can safely call it a ‘cluster pays’ title. It’s not a typical cluster pays slot either, though, so bear with us as we explain how Viking Runecraft 100 works.
The game board is a 5×5 grid with 25 positions in total. Your job is to match lines of 3, 4, or 5 symbols of the same kind – standard fare for slot games. However, winning lines in Viking Runecraft 100 can be both vertical and horizontal. The reason we call it a ‘cluster pay’ slot even though it’s not about symbol clusters is that you can win anywhere on the board. Winning lines don’t have to start or end at any particular point of the table. As long as you have at least three matching symbols in a line, you’re good to go.
The game also features partial symbol cascades. Winning symbols are removed from the game, causing any symbols above them to fall down the board. Importantly, though, no new symbols fall down from the top unless you hit ‘spin’ again. Additionally, every time this happens, a running win multiplier increases by 1. This can happen many times in a single round, but the multiplier resets back to 1x when the round ends.
Beyond that, bets work as usual. You can use the buttons at the bottom to set the size of your stake, ranging from €0.20 to €100 per spin.
God Powers & Ragnarok
During regular gameplay, one of three Norse gods will be present on the side of the board – Thor, Freya, or Heimdall. Any non-winning spin can randomly trigger their God Powers, which have powerful effects that can turn your loss into a win. These are:
- Thor’s Thunder – Converts all symbols of one type into symbols of another random type
- Freya’s Magic – Randomly creates 1 or 2 Wild symbols
- Heimdall’s Vision – Removes two sets of symbols from the board
Every time you hit a win thanks to these God Powers, you fill out a meter to the left of the table. If you win 3 lines due to a God Power, a feature called Ragnarok kicks off. Note that 4-symbol lines fill up the meter by 2, while 5-symbol lines fill it out all the way instantly.
Ragnarok is essentially a single free round in which all three Gods perform their respective powers. If you’re lucky enough to clear the whole board thanks to a Ragnarok feature, you trigger Free Spins.
Viking Runecraft 100 Free Spins
Initially, you get 10 spins to play around with. However, during this special game mode, God Powers triggers on every round, regardless of whether you’ve won or not. Filling out the God Meter during free spins awards additional spins, up to a maximum of 100.
Moreover, the win multiplier does not reset with every spin and keeps increasing until the end of the free spin bonus round. The maximum multiplier you can reach this way is 100x.
Last but not least, if you manage to clear out the whole board without the Ragnarok feature, you get a special 50x bonus to your payout. This additional prize is added on top of any other wins secured in that round and is affected by the Win multiplier.
