HOW TO PLAY THE LOST BOYS
The base game is a bog standard slot game, taking place on a narrow 5×3 grid. It features 10 active paylines, which is a fairly standard layout. As usual, your job is to hit 3 or more matching symbols along those paylines, starting at the leftmost reel.
Overall, the game rates as a moderately volatile slot, striking a nice middle ground between hit rates and payouts. On top of 10 standard symbols, it also offers several types of special symbols. Wilds are as you would expect them to be, while the Bonus scatter symbols are used to access the game’s special features. The Lost Boys by Blueprint also features several collector-style symbols which we’ll explain further down.
Random Modifiers
In any base game spin, a random modifier can sometimes randomly trigger. There’s no real way to predict or control these features – they just sometimes randomly show up to improve the spin.
There are four modifiers in total:
- High Stakes – randomly spreads several Cash symbols to the reels
- Bonus Boost – creates Scatters on the grid for a solid chance to trigger the bonus round
- Blood Lust – randomly creates one or more Wilds
- One Of Us – essentially a free instant respin
Cash Collector
The CAsh Collector feature in The Lost Boys slot game is a fairly standard iteration of this type of mechanic. If you’re not familiar with Cash Collect slots, you can find a detailed guide here.
Basically, Cash symbols can appear anywhere on the reels at any time. Each Cash symbol shows a random prize, which is randomly selected from a number of options, going up to 100x. These symbols cannot form winning lines – they have to be collected using a Collector symbol.
Collector symbols only ever appear on the rightmost reel. If a Collector and a Cash symbol appear at the same time, you are awarded all the prizes from any Cash symbols present anywhere on the reels.
Besides the standard Collect symbols, you may get lucky and see one of three types of special Collectors which apply further bonuses. These include:
- Respin Collect – collects any prizes in view and makes a free respin while staying in place
- Boost Collect – multipliers any Cash symbols on the reels by up to 5x
- Super Collect – collects Cash symbols multiple times, up to a maximum of 5
The Lost Boys Slot Free Spins
Hitting 3 scatter symbols instantly awards the player 10 free spins, regardless of where they are on the board. That said, you can only hit 3 of these in a single spin, and they only appear on the middle reels.
You can collect Cash symbols during free spins the same way as in the base game. Collecting 3, 6, 9, or 12 Collect symbols during free spins grants you another 5 spins. Moreover, multipliers are applied to any subsequent Cash Collect triggers. A 2x, 3x, 5x, and 10x multiplier appears after 3, 6, 9, or 12 Collect symbols, respectively.
