HOW TO PLAY CRAPS BY PLAY’N GO
Play’n GO’s Craps is a 2023 release, which means the studio has had insight into how modern craps games look. Unfortunately, craps is not that popular, so there aren’t too many craps games in online casinos to look for. But that is going to change, as Play’n GO also released GO Craps, another interesting online craps game in 2025.
Now, to play Craps, the rules are simple: pick a betting position, place a bet on the table anywhere you want, and then click the roll. Two dice will roll on the table, and the outcome of the roll will determine what happens next. You will either win, lose, or continue the round in search of a point.
In general, craps is not that popular among online players because they believe the game to be very complicated. In reality, the only complicated thing about craps is the use of so many betting options and positions, which can truly be overwhelming to someone who is seeing it for the first time.
A round of craps typically has three stages. Here are the details of what happens in each stage.
Betting Phase
This is the very beginning of the round, and the first thing you will have to do when you load Play’n GO Craps.
During the betting phase, you are supposed to place bets. You cannot roll the dice without first betting. Now, to place a bet, pick a chip denomination from the bottom of the screen – you can use 0.50, 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, and 100 – and then simply click on positions on the layout that you want to wager on. You can place bets on as many positions as you’d like. When finished, click on the Roll button on the rightmost (looks like a die).
Come-out Roll
A simulation of two dice being thrown onto the table and rolling until they stop plays as soon as you start the roll. This is the come-out roll, the first roll of dice. The two dice totals are added together to produce an outcome. If the outcome is 2, 3, or 12, it’s a loss. If it’s 7 or 11, it’s a natural (so a win). In both cases, the outcome marks the end of the round.
However, if the outcome is 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, then it is called ‘the point’. A puck on the table will display ON which means the point has been established.
The round progresses to the next stage.
The Point Stage
The shooter (in this case, it’s automatic, but in live mode it’s an actual person) throws the dice again. The goal is to roll the identical number that is the “the point” to win the round. If they roll a 7 before that, it’s a loss. This is when you can bet on all other bets in the game – as you will see shortly all the common bets in craps.
The shooter will keep throwing dice until a 7 or the point is rolled. When this happens, the round ends.
