Betsoft’s Red Dog is an online casino table for punters who like their games exciting and fast-paced. The basic premise is incredibly simple. You are dealt two cards, with space for a third to be drawn. Your goal is to predict whether the third drawn card will be a value between the two already drawn cards! The game has some fantastic graphics, particularly the animations. You can slow things down to enjoy, or speed things up to skip past them and get straight to the action.
Red Dog features 97.20% RTP. It is played with eight standard decks, each one containing 52 cards total. One thing worth noting is that Red Dog does not have any available side bets. All the fun and rewards are in the core gameplay loop!
When you first launch the game, you have to place your bet. This is a simple enough thing to do. Choose one of the coin values you have available, and proceed to set them on the Place Bet section of the board. You can change and adjust these wagers as much as you like, as long as you remain within the bet limits. There is no timer limiting how long you can take either: one of the benefits of playing online casino tables! When you finish setting your bets, it is time to start playing!
Press Deal, and two cards will be drawn. At the same time, you will see a Red Dog placed on the table. The figurine allows you to tell the spread of the two cards at a glance. For example, an Ace and a seven will have a six card spread, meaning the dog will sit on the six. How much you are paid is determined by the spread, so it is worth keeping an eye on. The goal now is to determine whether the next card you draw will have a value between the two drawn cards.
If you think the next card will be within the spread between the two cards, you want to press the Ride button. This will create a Raise bet that matches your existing Ante wager. Alternatively, the Stand button allows you to back out early and save some costs. If you choose to Ride, the game will draw a third card and check its value. If the value is between the two previously drawn cards, then you win the round! You can also tie if you draw two consecutive cards or a pair.
The simple and fast-paced nature of this release leaves little room for any side bets. As it stands, all the options are already covered by the main bets. This sort of tight design is quite impressive and is part of why we so thoroughly this Betsoft title. It covers almost all of its bases without the need for anything extra.
We discussed how to win, but not how much you win! For the most part, you will earn even money payouts when you win in Red Dog. However, there are exceptions to this rule. If the spread between two cards is three cards or less, then the cash prizes you win are increased.
However, those of you looking for the biggest prize need to draw a pair of cards to start with. This automatically draws the third card without any extra cost. If the third card creates a three of a kind combination, then you get an 11:1 payout!
While many card games offer strategic depth, not many can match Red Dog’s fast rounds. After all, for most titles, you have to stop and carefully plan every move you make. Here, you will usually know by instinct whether a hand is worth playing or not. There is a minor hurdle at first as you figure out how it plays and how much each card is worth. Once you have that down, you will be able to enjoy one of the best titles Betsoft ever created!
