HOW TO PLAY RED DOOR ROULETTE
Most of Red Door Roulette looks and plays like a regular game of live dealer roulette. It uses a European-style wheel with a single zero pocket.
Every round starts with a 15-second betting period. If you want to place a bet, start by selecting the size of your stake using the chips at the bottom of the screen. Then, click on a betting position and hit ‘confirm’. You can place as many bets as you want. However, remember that only single-number bets can participate in the exciting Red Door bonus round.
Once the betting period closes, a virtual slot machine behind the dealer spins. It will show a number between 3 and 15. This is the number of ‘keys’ that will be randomly distributed to randomly selected numbers across the betting table. These keys are used to access and participate in the bonus round. We’ll explain how the whole bonus system works below, in the Extra Features section of this Red Door Roulette review.
Finally, the wheel spins to determine the outcome of the round. The game uses an automatic roulette wheel, which simply means it spins on its own instead of being turned by the dealer. However, it’s still a real, physical wheel. Only the bonus features of this game rely on RNG.
Red Door Roulette Bonus Round
If you want to participate in the bonus round, place a Straight Up bet (a bet that only covers one number.) The only way to participate in the Red Door bonus is for a Key to be assigned to a number you placed a Straight Up bet on. Of course, your bet also has to win.
If the roulette ball lands on a number with a Key, all players that won Straight Up bets in that round participate. If your winning Straight Up bet does not have a key, you win 19:1, which is a significant reduction from the standard roulette payout of 35:1. However, some Keys are also assigned multipliers between 2x and 20x. If the bonus round is triggered by such a key, all resulting winnings are multiplied by that number.
Anyway, the bonus round consists of a large money wheel. It essentially looks and plays like the beloved Crazy Time bonus round.
The presenter spins the wheel, which lands on one of the segments. Every segment shows a different multiplier. All participating players will win a payout based on the size of their stake and the displayed multiplier.
If the wheel lands on a segment called DOUBLE, all multipliers on the wheel are doubled and the wheel spins again. This can happen several times in a row, and the multipliers are all doubled every time, up to a maximum of 4,000x.
