The Swiss market is going to open on 1 July. Red Tiger Gaming is one of the first software providers ready to launch in this European country with 30 of their most popular games being certified. In addition, they have bolstered their online security being awarded ISO 27001 certification in November last year. Although the names of operators the provider will go live with are not revealed, in their official press release it is stated that Red Tiger is prepared to launch with a number of leading operators in the country.

“Red Tiger is always looking to expand its reach in regulated markets. As a result, we are well-set to offer operators a portfolio of games that are proven revenue generators elsewhere,” said Chris Looney, Commercial Director at Red Tiger, and added that they were looking forward to launching in Switzerland.

So far, the Malta-based provider holds licences issued by the UK Gambling Commission, Malta Gaming Authority, Alderney Gambling Control Commission and HM Government of Gibraltar. The company has recently expanded across Europe by going live in Sweden, Italy and Denmark.

Swiss Land-Based Casinos Go Online

The new gambling law came into force on 1 January 2019. During the first six months of the year, the Swiss Federal Council has been processing the applications submitted by the country’s land-based casinos. They have applied to extend their licences so that they will cover online gaming as well.

The Swiss gaming regulator Eidgenössische Spielbankenkommission (EBSK) has published the applications submitted by four land-based casinos including Grand Casino Basel and Grand Casino Lucerne in the Swiss federal gazette.

The provisions intended to prevent Swiss players from accessing unlicensed gaming sites by blocking them will come into force as of July 2019.
