We’re referring, of course, to the 4 Secret Pyramids bonus round. It starts off simple enough – hit 3 Scatter symbols and you get some free spins and a multiplier.

However, there are more ways to play the bonus round than one. During base gameplay, hitting two Scatters will present you with a choice. The options are hidden, but one is a cash payout while the other advances you on the 4 Secret Pyramids map.

The map is n interesting idea – you progress down it and improve the bonus round. Every new unlocked location brings potentially better rewards in the form of more 4 Secret Pyramids free spins, bigger multipliers, and a higher maximum payout. This much was the case in 3 Secret Cities, but this sequel throws in an additional twist.

For your second location, you can choose one of two paths. The upper, red path offers bigger multipliers and more volatility at the expense of fewer free spins. The blue path is the opposite. Ultimately, however, both paths converge into one golden Pyramid which has both many free spins and big multipliers.

However, it’s important to understand that the stats for each location are not automatically available. They are the maximum amount of, say, free spins you can get after triggering the bonus round. The actual bonus amounts are determined by the Temple Pick minigame.

Essentially, once you trigger the bonus round, you have to randomly pick hidden “bricks” to determine the number of spins, the multiplier, and one symbol that receives a boost. You also get opportunities to improve these stats as you climb up the pyramid.
