HOW TO PLAY FULONG 88
The reels themselves are nothing we haven’t seen before. There are five of them, each with 3 rows. Also, there are no preset pay lines in the game. All you have to do is hit matching symbols on adjacent reels, starting with the leftmost reel. This means that there are 243 ways to win in total, though this number can be increased through some features we’ll discuss further down.
However, betting in Fulong 88 is a bit unique. First of all, stakes range from £0.08 to £8. A bit on the nose with the number 8, but we’ll take it. You may notice, however, that £8 is very low for a maximum bet. That’s because picking your stake is only half of your buy-in.
The other half can be found on the left. This is where you’ll choose how many Golden Symbols you want to appear with each spin. We’ll explain how Golden Symbols work below. For now, we’ll just note that the more you add, the more volatile the game becomes. Adding more can vastly increase the real amount you’re paying as a stake – up to 11x for the highest level. However, remember that only your base stake size is used to calculate payouts.
Golden Symbols
The golden symbols are central to Fulong 88 from Play’n GO. So what are they all about?
In the simplest of terms, they pay more. Only high-paying symbols (the ones that aren’t card values) can be golden. Golden symbols pay exponentially more than their regular counterparts.
Golden symbols only appear if you turn on the corresponding level of Golden Symbols (the options to the left.) As you increase the level, stronger symbols are turned into gold.
For example, the base level means only Rabbits appear as golden. If you turn it up one level, all Frog symbols that appear subsequently will turn into their Golden version. If you pay for the next level up, Turtles will also appear as golden. The maximum level means all high-paying symbols always appear as Gold variants.
Additionally, adding more Golden symbols unlocks bigger Jackpots.
Coins & Wilds
Surprisingly, the gold coins in this game are not there as a collector feature. Instead, any Coins that hit are collected by the Fulong dragon. The coin is replaced by a Wild symbol.
In the base game, every collected coin has a chance of triggering the Bonus/Jackpot round. This is guaranteed during Free Spins.
Wilds can also split into two. Technically, this increases the length of any lines made using those lines.
Fulong 888 Bonus Jackpot
The bonus round works as a sort of simple Pick & Click feature. 13 coins appear on the screen, and you get to pick between them. Every clicked coin reveals a gem corresponding to one of the four jackpots. As soon as you reveal three gems of the same colour, you win the corresponding jackpot.
However, the bonus round also depends on how many gold symbols are added to the game. You need to add at least 2 to even have access to the bonus round. Higher levels unlock bigger Jackpots, so you can only win the Grand jackpot with all Golden symbols unlocked.
Free Spins
As usual, hitting 3 Scatters will trigger free spins. You get 10 spins for 3 scatters, and they can be re-triggered the same way. However, you can’t win more than 150 free spins in a row.
During Fulong 88 free spins, all low-paying symbols are removed from the game. If you take all Golden symbols, this means that every symbol in the game will be golden.
Also, all Wilds always split during free spins. As mentioned previously, all coins always trigger the bonus round as well.
