We expected the icons to be less generic, considering how much build up this NetEnt release had. There are some that do look promising. The hefty book is a mystery symbol, and a bronze skull acts as a Wild. In the same fashion, a triangle with a keyhole in the middle is a Scatter.
Regular symbols are split into medium and lower-paying tiers. Diamonds, spades, clubs and hearts with flaming magical glows around their edges are the lower-paying icons. Meanwhile, different coloured gemstones with animals or insects attached are medium paying symbols.
The title is remarkably easy to get into once you understand the basics. The playing field has five reels and four rows, with forty fixed paylines. Connect three or more identical icons in adjacent positions, starting from left to right, and you are awarded the cash prize listed in the paytable.

Mastering the mystery symbols is the way to succeed in this NetEnt release. These crimson books only appear on the third, fourth and fifth reel during normal gameplay.
