It seems that BetSoft decided to take a break from developing topnotch 3D video slots and go on a fun trip down the memory lane with their latest release, called Jumbo Joker. Prepare to kick it old school, because this is a classic fruit machine, but with a modern twist. Don’t expect Free Spins and other kinds of Bonus games, because it is all about spinning the reels, looking for huge payouts. Two set of reels are on the offer, Top and Bottom.
During normal play, you will be spinning the Bottom set, and a win of at least 20 coins in a spin will move you up to the Top set of reels. Also, four paytables are available, depending on the bet level you decide to use. So, even though it offers none of the “classic” additional features, there is much to play for in the 2017 release.
Even though the 2017 release is not the product of BetSoft’s Slots3 series, it houses crisp graphics and a fitting soundtrack. Since we are talking about an old-school slot machine, then you should expect lots of classic symbols. On the Bottom set there are Cherries, Lemons, Watermelons, Bells, Treasure Chests and Jokers. Once you manage to work your way up to the Top set of reels, you will find some new symbols, like Oranges, Grapes and Lucky Sevens, while the only symbol that will not appear from the Bottom set is the Treasure Chest.
The Treasure Chest is the symbol that pays the most in the Bottom set, offering 2,000 coins for three of a kind. Lucky Seven has the same role in the Top set. Unfortunately, there are no Wilds included. Obviously, the good people of BetSoft did not want to make it easier for gamers to land winning combinations this time.
In this section, we will talk more about the main game or the Bottom set of reels. This set offers three reels and five paylines. Depending on the bet amount, gamers will play with only one payline, or with all five of them. If you decide to set the bet amount at 1, meaning that you will bet one coin per spin, you will be playing with only one payline.
If the bet amount is set at 10 (ten coins per spin), you will be playing with all five lines. The second thing players can adjust is the coin value, which can go from $0.02 to $1. Betting starts at $0.02 if you decide to bet low, and can go all the way up to $10 in the Bottom set. Winning payouts is simple since you need to land three matching symbols on an active payline.
As for the control panel, apart from Coin Denomination and Bet Amount, gamers can use the Max Bet option, Autoplay with 100 automatic spins, and, of course, the Spin button. You will also notice the Collect option, which can be used once you win 20 coins or more in a single spin. If you choose this option, you will collect the amount you won, but if you choose to continue spinning the reels, you will activate the Jumbo Meter in the Top set of reels.
We advise you to continue spinning the reels because the Top set offers more opportunities for hefty payouts. All your winnings from the Bottom set will appear on the Jumbo Meter, and spinners are allowed to make a maximum of 15 spins on the Top set, where punters can wager 20-200 coins per spin. Just like in the main game, gamers will have the option to bet on the lower, or on the higher bet level, but the coin denomination remains the same as in the triggering spin.
Lower bets bring smaller prizes, and bigger bets offer bigger wins. By now you all probably noticed that the Joker offers a kind of mystery wins, because it can reward you from 10 to 400 coins in the Bottom set, and from 100 to 2,000 coins on the Top set.
