You just get 10 pins you don’t have to pay for, and re-triggering is not possible unless you hit 3 Bonus symbols again. The only exception is the odd Wild symbol, which will stick to the table.

Lastly, we’ve already mentioned the multiplier counter to the side. Consecutive wins will increase the returns of future consecutive wins. It’s a nice enough addition, but getting the counter to go above 2x is very hard to do.

PAYOUTS

This online slot machine is not very volatile – especially not by today’s standards. With only 8 standard symbols, winning is not hard and you should see a decent hit frequency.

Notice that there is no increase in multiplier after the second win, which we suspect was quite intentional. As we mentioned earlier, getting anything more than 3 wins is quite unlikely.

All in all, we can’t say that Medusa Hunt is the best of Red Rake Gaming. The visuals are more or less in their company style, but they look quite unimpressive compared to most of the competition.

That’s exactly the takeaway from this Red Rake Medusa Hunt review. This is far from a bad game – it has some interesting design choices and moments of excitement. It’s just that, compared to what else is out there these days, there isn’t a lot to latch on to.

There are definitely still games out there that choose to avoid the bloated features of the mainstream. But Medusa Hunt occupies a strange sort of middle ground. It’s not simple enough to attract old-school audiences, and it’s clearly not innovative enough to attract those looking for something new. Throw in the unimpressive 95.3% RTP, and you can probably see where we’re coming from.
