Since we are talking about the treasure of Romanov dynasty, the appearance of the 2018 release is pretty luxurious. Once you start spinning the reels, you will enjoy the site of the background, which is packed with diamonds, beads, necklaces and rings. Unfortunately, they will not appear on the reels.
Here you can see Emeralds, Diamonds, Rubies and Amethysts, which serve as high-value symbols. The Snowflake is used as a Wild that substitutes for all symbols except the Scatter. The rules of the Microgaming title are so simple that both royalty and simple folks can understand how the slot is played in no time at all. The 2018 release features five reels, three rows and benefits from 15 fixed paylines, which pay left to right, starting from the leftmost reel. Three of a kind is the minimum for landing payouts.

On each reel, a stack of Mystery Symbols can appear. This stack will be replaced by one particular symbol. The same symbol will replace the two leftmost Mystery Stacks, while other symbols, including the Bonus symbol, can replace other Mystery Stacks and this is called the Mystery Stack feature.
If you land at least two matching full symbols stacks, starting from the leftmost reel, you will trigger the Re-Spin feature. The stacked symbols remain locked on their position while the re-spin is performed. If a matching symbol stack lands on the adjacent reel (reel 3), re-spins continue. Once there are no matching symbol stacks on adjacent reels, the feature ends. The stacked symbols become one matching colossal symbol and you get your payouts. In this way, you can cover all the reels for massive wins.
If the stacked symbols are Bonus symbols, you can trigger the Bonus feature. Get Bonus symbols to cover three, four or all five reels and you will get to spin one, two or all three Bonus Wheels. Bonus Wheels 1 and 2 will get you instant prizes, while Bonus Wheel 3 awards a multiplier which is applied on prizes won on Wheels 1 and 2.
Even though the theme of the slot is the treasure of the Romanov dynasty, the maximum possible payout is only 1,000 times the bet per single spin. Of course, if you set the bet to the max, it can be a very generous prize. The Wild will get you 50 times the bet for five of a kind, while high-value symbols are not that generous. First of all, we didn’t like the fact that the Microgaming title does not offer free spins. On the other hand, we have re-spins as the next best thing. Also, the symbols used in the 2018 release should have been done in order to fit the theme perfectly. We loved the stacked symbols that can cover all the reels and result in hefty payouts, but the value of the high-paying symbols is not as high as one might expect.
