The next important symbol is the golden Scatter, which can be triggered anywhere on the grid.
If you land 3 on reels 2, 3, and 4, you get some Sakura Fortune 2 free spins. Specifically, you win 9, 10, or 11 for 3, 4, or 5 scatters, respectively.
Once you hit 3 on the middle reels, reels 1 and 4 will each get a respin for a chance to get more free spins. This continues until you get no additional Scatters or you land all 5.
