HOW TO PLAY VENI VIDI VICI
The base gameplay of Veni Vidi Vici follows a standard format that will be familiar to anyone who ever tried spinning an online slot machine. It’s played on a narrow grid with 5 reels and 3 rows, so you won’t have too many things to keep track of. Just use the interface to select the size of your stake and hit ‘Spin’ when you’re ready. You can use the other two buttons at the bottom of the screen to increase the game’s animation speed or turn on auto-play. Auto-play can also be customized through win or loss limits, which certainly helps players control their spending.
To win, you need to hit 3 or more matching symbols along one of the game’s 10 active paylines. Winning lines can only be formed from left to right, starting with the leftmost reel. You can check out what these paylines look like in the in-game info screen, but we’re sure they’re nothing you haven’t seen before.
As far as special symbols go, this Expanse Studio slot game only features Wilds. As always, Wilds can substitute for any other regular symbol, making them extremely valuable. On top of that, hitting 3 or more Wilds along a payline results in a large payout that technically makes Wilds the highest-paying symbol in the game. Moreover, Wilds are crucial for triggering the game’s bonuses and special features, which we’ll describe below.
Triumph Respins
If you hit 2 Wilds anywhere on the reels, you get an automatic free respin. Note that Wilds do not need to be part of a winning line to trigger this respin, which sort of makes them work as Scatters as well.
During this respin, Wilds become sticky and remain in the position they initially landed on. The free respin cannot be re-triggered, and any wins are calculated using the stake you used for the original spin.
If you hit another Wild during this respin, the Veni Vidi Vici bonus round triggers. We’ll explain how that works below.
Veni Vidi Vici Bonus
Hitting 3 Wilds anywhere in a single spin (respins included) triggers the game’s special bonus round. This bonus is a sort of mini-game centred around Caesar casting some dice.
Basically, you roll a single 6-sided die to progress down a road with increasing multiplier rewards. The higher your roll, the better the reward.
If you roll a six, you progress to the next level. There are three levels, each with increasing rewards. Also, rolling a six means you get another dice roll for a shot at better rewards, or even going up another level.
There are three levels of the bonus round:
- Barbarian bonus payouts go up to 50x
- Royal bonus payouts go up to 125x
- The Imperial bonus awards up to 1,000x if you roll a six while playing it. There are no more bonus levels after you reach this point.
If you don’t want to wait around for the bonus round to trigger naturally, you can buy it using the Feature Buy button at the top right corner. This costs 250x the bet and starts you off on the Barbarian level.
Gamble
Whenever you win Veni Vidi Vici online slots, you can select the Gamble button located below the reels, beside the Spin button. This feature enables you to take a risk and potentially double your winnings.
All you need to do is guess whether the face-down card is red or black. If you get it right, you double your money. If not, you lose the whole thing, so use this feature at your own peril.
